The application process.
Interested in becoming a Steak Escape Franchisee? Begin by sending us a Request for Information. Once we receive it, we will send you information on the franchising program at EEL and try to answer all of your questions satisfactorily. If your interest continues, we will ask you to submit an application for a franchise, which we will process in approximately two weeks. If your application is approved, you will be notified and sent the required franchise documentation.
It is at this time that we will discuss with you what type of location(s) you prefer to develop and in what format. We offer a Development Agreement which covers a territory coupled with your commitment to build a certain number of stores in a specified time period. We also offer single unit franchises for one location only.
Sign-up and site development.
After we decide what type of franchise you will be awarded, we execute the franchise document and begin the site development process. We have a team of real estate specialists that monitor potential mall sites throughout the year. We also monitor potential opportunities in airports, on college campuses, and other more non-traditional areas such as sports arenas, seasonal areas, etc. We will share these opportunities with you, if they match your geographical area of interest. You also may present sites to us for consideration.
We will assist in your area development plans by providing you a site review package and help with how to evaluate a geographic area and pinpoint potential sites. Although we can offer much assistance, we feel that you must know your market better than anyone else. You must drive it, map it, know it, and understand it in order to make proper site determinations.
Construction and design.
Once your site is determined, you will be issued an equipment layout and elevations, along with a complete set of prototypical plans and design criteria. You will be responsible to have these plans tailored to your specific site. At the same time, your project is entered into a “critical path”, and you are given all of the supporting documents necessary for the development of your store. One of our team members will track your “critical path” with you and be available to assist you every step of the way. Additionally, you will be assigned a project manager to assist you and your contractor in the construction of your Steak Escape.
We will conduct necessary construction meetings, approve your plans and sign off on the construction of your unit prior to opening. At this time, the store is turned over to operations for pre-opening training and preparation for opening.
