What type of experience do I need to run a successful Steak Escape® restaurant?

Any prior experience in business management is helpful. The most important characteristics for successfully managing a Steak Escape® restaurant are organizational skills, people skills, a dedication to hard work, contagious enthusiasm, and a strict adherence to the standards and specifications of the Steak Escape® System.

How much is the monthly royalty?

The royalty fee, paid monthly, is six percent (6%) of gross sales.

Is there a monthly advertising and marketing fee?

Steak Escape® currently collects one-half percent (1/2%) of gross sales for marketing production costs, payable monthly.

Does Steak Escape® offer financial assistance?

At this time, Steak Escape® does not offer financial assistance. We will, however, supply you with what information we can to assist in your preparation of a business plan for presentation to a financial institution(s). We also can introduce you to leasing or financing representatives that we have developed relationships with since 1982.

How much does it cost to start?

Costs will vary depending on the type of location chosen and the amount of construction that is required. If you are interested in an airport, college, dual brand, free standing, strip center, Grille, or Express concept, please contact us by calling 614-224-0300 or fill out a Request for Information form.

Can I open multiple restaurants?

We are looking for entrepreneurs who are interested in owning, running and working in their own business. There are opportunities available to become a master franchisee, especially in International marketing. For more information on this, please give us a call.

How much flexibility do franchisees have with the menu?

The menu will vary slightly depending on the concept you choose. Beyond this, we will work with you to incorporate local favorites, customizing some of the menu items to your market.
